Hi there! I’m Mara — author of The Little Books of Big Business, business coach, and financial literacy advocate on a mission to make money fun and approachable for kids and families. As a mom of young adults who’ve successfully navigated the “money maze,” I know firsthand how powerful it is to teach kids about finances early—through play, imagination, and real-world experiences.

That’s why I created Let’s Play Money, a program filled with entrepreneurial stories, engaging worksheets, and hands-on activities to help families raise financially confident kids. Whether it’s running a kid vendor booth at the farmer’s market, planning a bake sale or lemonade stand, or curling up with a great story, I believe learning about money should feel exciting—not intimidating.

When I’m not writing, coaching, or playing “money games,” you’ll find me cheering on small businesses, sipping chai lattes while reading a good book or shopping at my local farmers market.
